Headaches and Stress and ADHD...oh my!!

Time for the Doctor...AGAIN.

Stress?  Who has stress?  If you could have seen me...eyes bugged out, teeth clenched, often holding back tears.  My year was not actually THAT bad, but with Anxiety Disorder, everything seemed 10 times as bad as it really was.

Here's a basic rundown: My middle boy (Boss Man) started having troubles in school.  He was constantly in trouble.  He couldn't sit still, he couldn't keep his hands to himself.  He was diagnosed with ADHD first.  Three months later came the Sensory Processing Disorder diagnosis.  Two months after that?  Anxiety.  We finally got all of his medications regulated, but it was a rollercoaster.

My youngest boy (Mini Boss) was next.  First came the Sensory Processing Disorder diagnosis.  Then the assumption that he too has ADHD (of course, too young to medicate).  Then came the night terrors and separation anxiety.

We decided it was time for the experts.  After taking them to two pediatric behavioral psychiatrists, one of which specialized in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), we got the diagnoses.  Boss Man - 96% chance of Aspergers.  Mini Boss - borderline ASD.

The toughest part about all of this?  We live in a city without the resources needed to help these little guys.  Boss Man is in a class with 25 other kids, and a gym class with 65 others.  Not easy.

Basically, I was a wreck. I could hold it all together most of the time (I did a good job hiding it in school, and pretending nothing was wrong in front of the kids) but it was starting to build up. The worst part about it was my irritability. I was snapping at my own children. I was snapping at my husband. I wasn't being a very nice Mom or wife.

Another bad part about this stress? I had headaches EVERY DAY. Literally every day. (And yes, I know how to correctly use the word literally.) It was to the point where DH (Dear Husband) wanted me to go get an MRI...but I was resistant.

Again, we fast forward.  After 3 weeks on Plexus, I was relaxed. I started to not sweat the small stuff. New diagnosis? No problem. We got this. I am a GOOD MOTHER. First time I ever believed that statement. Report cards? Kids not meeting benchmark? No big deal.  I have more than 4 months to get them there. Let's work on their needs. Again, I have never felt this confident and positive before!

And the headaches? Not just reduced...GONE! Since I started Plexus almost two months ago, I have only had 2 headaches, and they were both sinus related! I am SO thankful.

The Phases of Choosing Better Health

My Beginning Phases of Plexus

  • Phase 1: My Plexus journey started about a year ago, if you truly think about it.  It started by IGNORING people I trust.  I saw the posts, I read the testimonials, and I scrolled right past.  I even became annoyed and irritated at them.  I did this for TEN MONTHS.  Until one day, my friend offered a free sample.  Mind you, it was a one day sample.  What can happen in one day, right?  So I tried it. I did feel more energy, but not much else...so I thought that was the end of my journey.  What could all this hype be about?
  • Phase 2: My friend contacted me about a week later to ask me what I thought of her pink drink.  What did I think of it?  It gave me energy, that's about it.  She persisted.  "Shannon, you have to give it a little more time.  I can sell you a week's worth of products for $30.  What have you got to lose?"  I gave in.  I could blow $30 on junk dinner for the family, I might as well try it.
  • Phase 3: The week trial.  After 3 days, I had to stop drinking so much diet soda...it didn't taste that great, and I already had plenty of energy.  After 6 days, my chronic headaches were GONE.  I was sold.  I ordered a month worth of Slim and Accelerator.  I knew I was on my way to better health.
  • Phase 4: Oh no!!!  I was OUT of Plexus.  I ordered more, but it hadn't come yet.  Oh, man.  I felt terrible.  My headaches came back, my energy dwindled, I was craving Diet soda again.
  • Phase 5: Back on Plexus.  After 2 more weeks, not only were my headaches and cravings gone again, so was my Anxiety!  I have dealt  with Generalized Anxiety Disorder for years, and every day is a struggle (look for "Anxiety Girl" to read more).
  • Phase 6: Decide to try the rest of the products.  I am currently taking Slim, Accelerator, Block, Biocleanse, XFactor, MegaX, and Probio5.  I could NOT be happier!!  I feel better than I have in YEARS!!
